MIOMAP employs
an open-access approach to data-sharing, with the mission of making
the following features available through the University of California
Museum of Paleontology and Berkeley Natural History Museums web sites:
Interactive
maps of geographic occurrences of late Oligocene and Miocene mammal
occurrences and related data
Easy-to-use
interfaces for searching the database, building maps, and downloading
portions or all of the database
Willingness
to join forces with other paleontological database efforts
Use
