The book was written to accompany an educational workshop Learning
from the Fossil Record presented for K-16 educators at the 1996
Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of American in Denver, Colorado.
It contains lessons and background information on how scientists use
fossil evidence to reconstruct the past. It also offered ideas about
