Web notes & Calendar

web spider graphicDuring the fall semester of 2002, a group of three undergraduate students took part in special independent study projects that will ultimately result in new or updated exhibits for the UCMP website. The students each began by selecting a particular group of organisms (rudists, echinoids, and archaeocyathids), then worked with curator Carole Hickman on directed research into the group’s fossil record, life history, morphology and systematics. In later stages of the project the students examined and photographed specimens from the UCMP collections, and learned how to assemble web pages for their exhibits.

Currently under review, these web exhibits by Cherry Zamora, Daniel Stewart and Lisa Krain are expected to debut in winter 2003.
