Redfieldiidae

During the Triassic and Jurassic, a group of small fishes known as redfieldiids were common in fresh waters. This one, Redfieldia gracilis, was collected from Triassic deposits at Boontown, New Jersey. Others have been found in Australia, southern Africa, Morocco, and North America.
