I study patterns of extinction selectivity in the marine invertebrate fossil record, and how they change during episodes of rapid climate warming. Understanding how marine organisms and ecosystems responded to past climatic perturbations can provide insight into how modern oceans will be affected by anthropogenic climate change moving forward.
