I am most interested in the evolution of the lateral line canals in fossil and extant fishes. The lateral line system, which allows fishes to detect motion and changes in their aquatic environment, was dramatically reorganized due to terrestriality. I am interested in how the morphological diversity of the lateral line canals in Devonian tetrapodomorph fishes varies with ecology and phylogeny.
