In memoriam

We regret to report the passing of Dr. Leslie Marcus, Research Associate of the Division of Paleontology and Biology Professor at CUNY. Leslie graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Paleontology (1951), an MA in Statistics (1959) and a PhD in Paleontology (1962). Associated with both the AMNH and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Leslie’s primary interest was in using statistical methods to understand biological shape and evolution. He has contributed a great deal to the paleontological community.
