  • Eugenie Scott, Executive Director of the National Center for Science Education speaking on the importance of teaching evolution
  • A town meeting to discuss:
    —Why teach evolution?
    —Why is evolution considered controversial?
    —How does this affect the classroom?
  • A free copy of a wonderful new book, Evolution and the Fossil Evidence
  • The opportunity to take home some terrific prizes!

12:25-1:15 p.m. Lunch provided!
1:20-3:05 p.m. Two hands-on activity sessions

4:10-4:50 p.m. Town meeting on the teaching of evolution
4:50-5:00 p.m. Closing remarks
