Technical Requirements

We have produced two different versions of Getting Into the Fossil Record. The on-line version requires Internet access. The CD-only version works with or without Internet access, requiring only a CD-ROM player, web browser, and a copy of the tour on CD-ROM.

Requirements:

A Javascript-enabled web browser.

PLEASE NOTE: Newer browsers, such as Firefox and Safari, are known to have problems with some of these pages. As of October 2005, your best browser option is probably Internet Explorer.

Works best if using:

Monitor set to 800 x 600 resolution or greater (See Trouble-Shooting for instructions on checking and setting resolution)
Connection speed : T1 or above
