Sharing science with the public … over pizza

The second Thursday of every month, the Berkeley Natural History Museums host the East Bay Science Café at Au Coquelet Cafe, 2000 University Avenue (at Milvia St.), Berkeley, at 7:00 pm. This is a Café Scientifique-style forum for discussing interesting and important scientific issues. The April café featured UCMP's Jere Lipps who shared current research into the question "Does Life Exist Elsewhere in the Universe?" Coming up on May 10th will be professor Gordon Frankie, speaking on his studies of bee behavior and diversity, followed by an introduction to nanotechnology by Jeff Grossman, Executive Director, Center of Integrated Nanomechanical Systems, on June 13th.
