Celebrating evolution: A teacher workshop

Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth and bring evolution to your classrooms!
The activities of this workshop will be tailored to meet your needs and will include a sharing of new resources, hands-on activities including the Academy Evolution Kit, tours of the Human Evolution Research Center (HERC), and plenty of time for discussion. Activities and discussion will focus on: evolution and the nature of science, natural selection, reproductive fitness, phylogenetics and cladistics, human evolution, student misconceptions, and more!
Presenters include Helena Carmena, California Academy of Sciences; Rebecca Jabbour, HERC; Louise Mead, National Center for Science Education; Jessica Neely, KQED QUEST; and Judy Scotchmoor, UCMP.
