ERRATA:

1. We scored the Sanderia species incorrectly for the character of septa termination. In the undescribed species, the septa terminate toward the tentacle, not toward the rhopalium. This is typical in the species of Chrysaora as well. However, for S. malayensis, Mayer (1910) describes the septa as terminating in the rhopaliar radii, and Stiasny (1937, figure 10) illustrates it similarly. Rescoring the character and re-running our tree searches finds two most parsimonious trees. The strict consensus of those two trees is identical to the tree appearing in the published paper.

2. C. plocamia reaches sizes to one meter in bell diamter, which is larger than we originally scored it. Thanks to Hermes Mianzan for pointing this out for us.

3. The author addresses were inadvertantly switched. The single cross should indicate UC Berkeley, whereas the double cross should indicate CSU Northridge and Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Lisa is associated with all three institutions, whereas Allen is associated with UC Berkeley.
